Drop box just released an update to their utility that allow LAN Syncing. This means when I am on the same network as another computer that I have dropbox installed those computers will sync over the LAN rather than using the Internet and the website. The initial computer that I place a file on will still upload to the Internet, but the other computers can download either way. You can see the LAN annotation here:

I use dropbox to transfer files between computers all the time and this makes the process VERY fast. Great job dropbox!
