Well nothing much as usual. I am working 3 nights a week (teaching 1 and working as the “Chair” the other two). I am teaching during the days at sage.
I have proposed a dues increase at my lodge. Masons have paid extremely low dues for a number of years and I think it is a shame. I have proposed an increase to $100 a year from $50. Then each year thereafter an increase adjusting according to the CPI. This is taking some time as well.
So I feel like I have enough on my plate at the moment. I am getting home at 10 on nights I work and leaving at 630 am or so.
The family is doing well. KK is sweet as ever and Kristin is doing plenty. We made a song together and a short video too. We just purchased a lighting kit so that we can take some better photos in the house as well as video. So I have been working with audacity a bit as well as the usual windows media and camtasia products.
The DeVry class I am teaching is CIS 115 which is introduction to Logic and Design. It is a pretty cool class if you are going into programming. It teaches many of the fundamentals needed in any type of programming as well as the idea of logic, the terms and we also get to use a small robot called the scribbler. It is one of those classes that is pure and simple learning and just raw stuff you need to know. Not much busy work or high level objectives, just stuff you must know to talk the talk at any level. It is a good group of about 20 students and they seem pretty excited to be in class. As excited as you can be anyway.
