I regularly watch episodes I miss by buying them from Itunes. I download them to my ipod and hook my ipod to the TV. I use a regular set of cables (yellow, white and red) and just watch.

The video looks good and on occasion there is a slight issue, but regularly it is just fine.

So recently I went back to watching a certain show on tv as recorded by my DVR. I was very disappointed to see that the quality was horrible. Just plain bad. So although the Itunes video quality might not be HDTV, it is certainly better than standard cable.

So I dont see the problem. What could be causing the poor quality or is it relative to your experience with video? Are these guys videophiles?
