So we left Emerald Cove for Huntington Beach RV Park. It was basically a parking lot with power and water. It was however, right on the beach. I mean there was the public boardwalk thing and then the beach. We were about 10 feet from the sand. I took my daughter out there each day and every once and a while let the dog out as well.

We went out the night before we left and were walking with a flashlight at low tide. I wandered a little and noticed a starfish on the sand. Carol and Kristin were amazed. I was happy to be able to hold a large starfish on the beach. My daughter held it as well.

We all voted and Kristin and I won the vote to let the little guy go back in the ocean. This starfish was larger than my hand, almost two hands wide. Carol and I hadnt seen one in person and now Kristin has.

Kristin also was able to discover why they call it salt water. While running on the beach she caught a little water in the mouth. She was very happy to discover the correlation.
