OK so I am finally back blogging.

I am sure you missed me. I took time off because I wasn’t comfortable after loosing my newborn daughter Kennedy. I needed time away from sharing etc. I had to go back to work after about 3 weeks. The company I work for was very gracious and made the transition back easy from a management perspective. Carol, Kristin and I have been doing anything we can to stay close and do things as a family. I was always the kind of guy who goes home on Friday nights rather than going out for happy hour, but now there is a specific purpose and meaning to being together.

Today I blog about Ipods. I bought a Nano shortly before Kennedy was born. She came earlier than we had anticipated and the Nano was already on order when we decided she was ready. It arrived when we were waiting to go to the hospital and I didn’t really get a chance to use it until weeks later. It is very small and fit the need for an MP3 player. It just didn’t do video. It sold yesterday on ebay for $215.

I recently bought the newest Ipod (with video). 60g, black and just a cool screen. It is plenty small for my uses, it fits in a pocket and in my Oakley soft case as well. My daughter watches Sponge Bob on it and I watch Video Blogs as well. Pretty cool.

OK I got it because it was cool.

One thing that stinks. I have about 16000 photos of my family and I wanted to sync to my Ipod. It took about 16 hours to do so due to the optimization that Itunes performs. So when it is all over I hook it back up about an hour later to sync a blog and it tries to re-optimize each photo. This will take 16 hours…. Why?
